2017 recap: Monthly outfit favorites

One final favorites post for 2017… this one highlights all the reader faves, personal faves, and most viewed outfit posts each month of 2017. I have put similar post together the last few years to highlight all the 2013 monthly faves, the 2014 monthly faves, the 2015 monthly faves, and the 2016 monthly faves.

I’ll work backward, starting with December 2017. For each month, I’m highlighting:

  • the most-viewed post
  • the reader poll winner
  • my personal fave
  • my husband’s personal fave

Each original outfit post is linked below the collage, so you can explore to your heart’s content!

December 2017 favorites:

This past month marked the THIRD time I chose a personal fave featuring my cat-print skirt! (Also see February and January’s collages below). The faves this month all featured skirts, and I was quite surprised to see my personal fave also top the reader poll.

November 2017 favorites:

All dresses and skirts for this month’s faves! Interesting to note that both Sam and I went for patterned dresses, while the most viewed + poll winner outfit was all about color-blocking.

October 2017 favorites:

This month, the poll winner is the odd one out, as the rest of the faves featured one of my new sweaters c/o Tobi. Also, Sam wanted me to include the fact that his runner-up faves include my two DIY Halloween costumes, my Wonder Woman costume and my Atomic Blonde costume. Duly noted for the record, sir.

September 2017 favorites:

Sam’s the odd one out this month! I think he voted just as much for the coffee as he did for my SIA-inspired outfit (he looooooooves coffee, y’all). And both outfits are SIA-inspired outfits, actually! Just goes to show how much I love thinking about and creating outfits for SIA challenges, which I think shows through in my posts. This month’s faves also demonstrate just how unpredictable the weather is in September for the PNW — the weather can shift from shorts to sweaters within the span of a few weeks (or days)!

August 2017 favorites:

It’s funny that the outfit that won the reader poll plus and the most-viewed post of the month was an outfit that I wasn’t even planning to photograph for the blog! It was my husband’s idea to take photos that day, so good call! (And OF COURSE Sam chose the “cars and couture” post for his personal fave, LOL! 😀 )

July 2017 favorites:

Sam and I chose one mutual fave this month, but I was surprised at the variety of different outfits that ended up as the collective faves.

June 2017 favorites:

Wow, four different faves in June! What I love most is that they are four different prints:  diamond clusters, stripes, palm leaves, and a floral paisley.

May 2017 favorites:

Everything’s coming up rose-colored! Shades of pink or purple are in every winning outfit, even though each outfit is so different. My personal fave matched up with the poll winner, yay! 😀

April 2017 favorites:

It’s rare that Sam and I choose a mutual monthly fave! Very different color palettes in the faves this month, but all were skirts or dresses.

March 2017 favorites:

Allllllllmost a clean sweep for my wrap dress worn as a long cardigan. I was actually very surprised that my yellow-and-black SIA outfit sneaked in there!

February 2017 favorites:

I like that Sam and I split the faves, with mine matching up with the most viewed, and Sam’s matching up with the poll winner. I also noted how two different patterned circle skirts won the month, full stop. 😉

January 2017 favorites:

I noted a touch of cognac in the three different faves to start off 2017. I was jazzed that my own personal fave once again matched the poll winner. And Sam’s favorite was summed up in one phrase:  “Snow bunny!” 😀
