This week, I’m posting a series of posts celebrating and appreciating Audrey Hepburn’s enduring style inspiration. This series was inspired by a combination of factors:
- my new pixie haircut
- my silver drop hoop earrings from the set that I recently received as an early birthday gift from my mom (these earrings are reproductions of the ones Audrey wore while filming Sabrina)
- my enduring love of Audrey Hepburn’s iconic style
Inspiration photos (linked in paragraph below)
Next in this mini-series of inspiration is an outfit inspired by a series of informal photos Audrey Hepburn took in her apartment bedroom in 1954, as seen here and here, where she is dressed in a striped tee and ankle pants, reading a book.
We took these photos in our master bedroom, and it was fun to shoot more informal shots in another location in our house, one that hasn’t been shown on the blog before now.
How did I make this outfit my own?
It’s a pretty simple and straightforward look: a striped ballet-neck tee, ankle pants, and silver hoop earrings. Check, check, and check. I’m pretty sure Audrey’s outfit is black, and I went with navy… but yeah, it’s a classic style combination for a reason, y’all.
A couple of cheesy shots below (which are my favorites, of course!):
And one last pic in full color! 😀
