It seems I love pairing this brown print dress with bright, solid colors; the last time I wore this dress on the blog, I paired it with a bright green button-front. This time, I paired it with a bright blue cardigan. I had first thought of wearing my rust-colored tights, as seen here, but at the last minute, I went bold with my bright blue tights.
Sam jokingly called me “Smurfette,” which I didn’t mind. Smurfette was a sassy gal. 😉 I liked the bright blue — it really pops against the brown!
I had first thought of wearing my bronze Mary Jane pumps, but then I spied my bronze heels and my brown loafer heels. So I gathered all three pairs and asked Sam to make the final decision. He chose the brown loafer heels, a classic choice. 🙂
I also brought out my rope braid trick again for my bangs, to bring some texture and interest to my short hair. I got quite a few compliments on my hairstyle that day!

I’m always a fan of coloured tights (well, in fact any tights – they’re one of my staples and I have far too many…) and I love this colour and the contrast with the brown. It’s a really fabulous look. The shoes work really well too. I know what my favourite will be for next month!! K x
Wow, a front-runner fave, very bold! As are these tights… 😀
Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. Cute way of “winterizing” a summer dress. Perfect for a chilly spring day!
Thanks, Nicole! You’re right, I did kind of winterize a summer dress — yay! 🙂
