Now it is time for another Style Imitating Art (SIA) challenge, this time chosen by SIA co-founder Salazar @ 14 Shades of Grey.
Since it’s awards season and the Oscars are coming up this coming Sunday (!!!), Salazar decided to pick a movie poster as our inspiration this week. She chose the poster for Sing Street, which was one of her favorite movies this past year. I haven’t yet seen Sing Street, but I bet I would like it since I have really enjoyed other movies, Once and Begin Again, by the same writer-director, John Carney.
The poster has a lot of colors and an ’80s vibe (the story takes place in 1980s) that I agree with Salazar will be fun to interpret in an outfit.
Here is a detail from the poster. Click the image below or click here to view the full poster.
How to participate in SIA:
Everyone — bloggers, non-bloggers, all genders, all ages, even pets! — is welcome to participate. Just send a pic of an outfit — selfies and flat lays are also just fine — inspired by this week’s SIA artwork to this week’s curator, Salazar, at firstname.lastname@example.org by next Monday, Feb. 27th. Salazar will be traveling, so she will then post the SIA round-up on her blog, 14 Shades of Grey, on Wednesday, March 1st.
Can’t wait to see what y’all come up with!
