I have often expressed my love for my “once in a lifetime” Fluevogs — as recently as yesterday! I first tried on John Fluevog heels at its flagship store in Vancouver during our 2014 Spring Break trip, as detailed here in this post, and seen below.
Upon our return home, I then bought the same pair at the Fluevog store in Portland (so as not to pay the extra tax, as the shoes were expensive enough on their own). Fluevogs are, in a word, special. Every design is a bit — or a LOT — quirky, but they’re all based on classic shoe shapes. They’re spendy, yes, but they are also well-made and built to last.
Therefore, I thought it would be interesting to go back through out my outfit archives and round up the different ways I’ve worn these Fluevog heels. It’s nice to see that I really have worn these heels in very different ways, including with ankle pants, skinny jeans, dresses, and skirts; with and without tights; and with different colors, including red, black, white, green, and orange.
