I received one of my Christmas presents early this year. Sam gifted me the “Minibox” from The Original Scrapbox!
It started out as a joke — Sam shared a video of it on my Facebook feed to see my reaction, which had me drooling, OF COURSE. And then I realized how useful it would be, as it could hold all my crafts and files. So we made an agreement, that this would be my big Christmas gift this year. I chose the white beadboard exterior — my sewing desk and bench are also white — with grey file boxes. Although the exterior is white, the interior is still light tan-colored. That threw us off a little when we unpacked the boxes, but we both let out sighs of relief when we saw the white beadboard pieces.
The shipping is NOT cheap, but it IS fast. We had to put the Minibox together, of course, which took a few hours, but it comes with detailed instructions. We actually assembled the box over Thanksgiving break. (You can tell by what I’m wearing!)
And of course, half the fun was the gift of organizing all my files and crafts into the various file boxes! My crafts and files were in about three different places around the house, so I gathered them all together and spread everything out. I did this part over Christmas break, when I had some time to spread out and organize everything.
I promise, there IS a method to my madness!
So now I will work backward, to show pics starting from the fully opened and organized MiniBox and ending with the closed version. This box is amazingly well-designed, so tidy and efficient!
Each part, the middle and the two sides, is on wheels, so it’s really easy to glide the sides back and forth, or even to move the box around as a whole.
Here’s a closeup on the file boxes — and my labels! I simply cut the labels out of colored index cards, as index cards are thicker than regular paper. I also have a few extra bags and file boxes left over. 🙂
And finally, when the MiniBox is fully extended, you can pop out legs to use the tabletop as a desk! I also plan on using this tabletop as a base for my mini-ironing board, for when I need to iron for sewing projects. And you can also spy the bottom of my steamer pad to the right of the MiniBox! 🙂
So there you have it, a detailed look at my Christmas present, a MiniBox from The Original ScrapBox. Sam also gave me the gift of indulging my love of organization. ♥
Note: This post is NOT sponsored by The Original ScrapBox. I’m sharing this product with my readers because I’m just so excited about it! 🙂
Your thoughts? Are you also drooling at the sight of such well-designed organization?! Please leave a comment and share.
