Monthly budget adventures (September 2016)

It’s time for my monthly budget adventures, and I still kept things pretty low-key this month. I was putting most of my energies toward starting my new job!

Burgundy bootie beauties

Do these booties look familiar? They should, as they’re the burgundy version of the grey leather-and-suede booties I bought (and gushed over) last fall! I saw they were on sale on Amazon.com, and I was buying another (non-clothing) item on the site, so I could not resist getting them (and saving shipping costs). You will DEFINITELY be seeing these bootie beauties on the blog soon!

Navy and pink gingham

I mentioned earlier this month in my fitting room snapshots post that I snagged this gingham shirt at Old Navy. I love the unexpected mix of navy and pink together in the gingham print!

Total spent for this month: $43
Total savings for this month:  $71

Total spent for this year:  $164
Total savings for this year:  $556

More home tees

Last month, I forgot to mention these additional “The Home T” tees my mom gifted me (and Sam), to commemorate every state that we’ve called home. She had already bought us Oregon “Home Ts” back when we lived in Portland, as seen here, so she rounded out the collection after we moved to the state of Washington. That meant getting me tees for Wisconsin, Texas, and Washington, as seen below, and Sam got an extra one for Oklahoma. So sweet! These tees really are SO soft and comfortable — and I can also say, from experience, that they look just as good after multiple washings.

The burgundy booties are still available (I couldn’t believe it, even after a year!), but they definitely fit narrow, FYI. And I would say go for it for the Oregon home tee — part of every sale goes toward multiple sclerosis research, so it’s a win-win! 🙂

Those home tees are an awesome idea. I just moved up to Portland, so now I kinda want an Oregon one!

Those booties really are gorgeous. The leather/suede combo reminds me of a pair of booties I used to have (and wish I still had if they had been comfier). The colour is perfect for fall, and that strap on the side is eye catching 😀
