It’s time for the Style Imitating Art (SIA) round-up!
First up is my friend Stephanie, who visited me in Tacoma this past weekend — a perfect opportunity to capture her SIA-inspired outfit! Her graphic print skirt is new (love it!!) and pairs nicely with her mustard cardigan and Asian-inspired purse. 🙂
Next up is Mike, a longtime SIA participant, who was inspired by the colors and gold lettering of the poster. He thought wearing a shirt with text on it would be a great match for the poster, and I agree! 🙂
Next is Karen from She Thought She Could, another frequent SIA participant, who was inspired by the colors in the poster, tying in the gold/mustard with her cardigan, black with her purse, and bits of red in her necklace. I love the textures in Karen’s top!
SIA co-founder Salazar from 14 Shades of Grey is be-still-my-cat-shaped-heart perfect in her cat brooch (!!!!), mustard pants, and red loafer flats.
SIA-chost Erin from Loop Looks had a hard time figuring out an outfit, finally deciding on this bow-print dress as “it had the right colors and attitude as the artwork.” I love it! And bonus Chewie! (Erin’s bracelet and Chewie’s collar tie into the red in the poster.)
And bonus participation from my husband Sam! He happened to dress in his mustard pants and grey cardigan — on the same day that I wore my SIA-inspired outfit — and I gasped and went, “Hey, your outfit is perfect for this week’s SIA!” So he agreed to let me take pictures and include him on the round-up. 🙂
Finally, there’s me in my cat tee, moto-style jacket, and tan trousers! You can see more pics and outfit details in yesterday’s post.
Thanks to all for participating! Lots of variety this week, from dresses to skirts to trousers — and a nice way for us all to transition to the autumn season!
Next week, Erin @ Loop Looks will be choosing the next SIA challenge artwork! 🙂
