Berry tones + tweed

I’ve had this tweed a-line skirt for over a decade, but I haven’t worn it in awhile or featured it much on the blog. But it’s time to dig it out of my closet and showcase it again!

I kept the outfit sort of monochromatic in tones of berry + burgundy. My tights and bronze heels don’t match but they do go with the colors of the tweed skirt and cardigan.

The a-line skirt is a pretty thin tweed and hemmed with a bit of burgundy lace. It’s actually a little shorter than I remembered it being, but it still looks professional enough for work.

And finally, above is a closeup of my newly trimmed bob and the sun shining on my subtly purply-red demi-permanent rinse. You’re welcome, Erin. 😉

Ha! Thanks for the hair close-up. I’m jealous of how sharp your bob looks. I found out from experience that my hair is just too naturally wavy to pull this off without A LOT of help from a round brush and maybe a third arm.

The color of that skirt is wonderful! I’d love to see it more this spring. Maybe with one of your denim jackets?

I still use a round brush and blow dryer when drying my hair in the morning, and I usually do a quick finish with my flat iron, so I’m no stranger to dealing with hair issues. But it is true that my hair is naturally straight, so it’s like it WANTS to conform to this hairstyle. 🙂

It’s interesting to pull out older items, like this light tweed skirt, and look at them in a new way!

This is such a pretty look! This inspires me to try more monochromatic looks. Those Mary Janes are amazing and the perfect choice with this look.

I really like the ombre effect you have going here with the berry tones. Great tweed skirt. =)

I would love for you to stop by my blog and I just started a new linkup on Thursdays so welcome by and join with this outfit, tomorrow. Thank you, Ada. =)
