SIA: Nocturne in Black and Gold – The Falling Rocket

It’s time for another Style Imitating Art (SIA) challenge! This week, it’s Salazar’s time to curate, and she chose the painting “Nocturne in Black and Gold: The Falling Rocket” by James Abbott McNeill Whistler. This is the second Whistler painting chosen for SIA (the first one was “At the Piano“), but since this week’s SIA coincides with Lunar New Year, Salazar thought a painting of firework displays would be appropriate.

Participating in SIA challenges is pretty straightforward. Wear something inspired by this week’s artwork, and send a pic to this week’s curator, Salazar at 14shadesofgreyblog@gmail.com, by next Monday, Feb. 8. Salazar will post the round-up the next morning on her blog, 14 Shades of Grey. Everyone is welcome to participate!
