SIA: Ansel Adams

This week’s Style Imitating Art (SIA) inspiration challenge is curated by Jess @ Animated Cardigan, who chose the photograph “Aspens, Northern New Mexico” by the great American photographer Ansel Adams (1902–1984). This year is also the centennial of the National Park Service, and Ansel Adams is famous for his photographs of nature and national parks like Yosemite and others. You can view more of his artwork here on the MoMA website and in compilation works like this one.

Here’s a detail from “Aspens, Northern New Mexico,” 1958 (click on the detail below to view the entire photograph).

All are welcome to participate in SIA challenges — just send a pic of an outfit inspired by this week’s SIA inspiration piece to this week’s curator, Jess at, by next Monday, January 25. Jess will post the round-up on her blog, Animated Cardigan, the next day.

Can’t wait to see what y’all come up with!
