Monthly budget adventures (August 2015)

This month, I spent $0 on clothing! 😀 So this post is done, eh? Not quite… because August also included visiting my mom and my birthday, so I ended up receiving quite a few clothing and jewelry items this past month.

My mom is a quite generous person, and she gifted me a few items while I was visiting. She’s also quite canny at coupons, so the striped flats below and the embroidered tank were snagged on sale. Like mother, like daughter. ♥

And a new bag joins my canvas tote bag collection! Don’t you just love those bright chevron stripes and rope handle? So very me!

Birthday gifts

My birthday gift to y’all, dear readers, was an outtakes post. My birthday gift from my mom was a gorgeous fit-and-flare printed dress, which we picked up on at my favorite resale boutique.

My friend Stephanie gifted me two lovely pairs of earrings, one pair from Georgia (left) and one pair from a local boutique.

My mother-in-law also gifted me this cute librarian-themed bracelet. 🙂

Complimentary items

Thanks again to Anjolee for my new peridot and silver earrings, which I reviewed earlier in the month. So great to have a lovely way to wear my birthstone! 🙂

Ahhhhh! I love that banned books clutch! It looks awesome. One time I will go a month without shopping. One time.

That embroidered top caught my eye and those new earrings are gorgeous! The vibrant berry hues of your dress are so pretty – what a great find at the resale boutique.
