Peridot + blue | Review of Anjolee earrings

Hey, y’all! I’m back with a new outfit post — and a special post reviewing my new earrings from Anjolee! A couple of months ago, Anjolee contacted me about a possible collaboration for reviewing a piece of their handcrafted jewelry. I had first heard about Anjolee through blogger friends Gracey @ Fashion for Giants and Erin @ Loop Looks, so I was pleased to also get the opportunity to work with them.

Anjolee, which was founded in the 1970s, specializes in fine jewelry, including a lovely selection of diamond earrings. They provided a list of jewelry options (first bracelets, then earrings) for me to choose from and review. I selected the “Six Prong Solitaire Diamond Drop Earrings” to review.

It’s important to note that while Anjolee specializes in diamond and fine jewelry, they make jewelry samples for purposes of review out of silver and cubic zirconia (cz) or semi-precious gemstones. As my birthday was coming up, I asked if they could substitute my birthstone, peridot, as the gemstone for the earrings. They graciously agreed, and it was really lovely to receive the pair of earrings as a kind of special birthday present! 😀

The earrings came in a navy pouch, as you can see above, and I was inspired by the blue + peridot color pairing for my outfit, to help highlight my new earrings!

Even though peridot is my birthstone, it has always kind of baffled me as the birthstone chosen for August — it’s a yellow-green color and therefore not the most versatile of gemstones. Peridot is often paired with amethyst to bring out its greener tones. Therefore, I was quite pleased at the clear, bright green color of the peridots in these Anjolee earrings, and the earring design is simple and classic. I love the delicate shape of the hoops, and how the hinged backing (see below) makes them feel more secure when worn. The earrings are subtle with a bit of sparkle, which suits me and my style.

I was also impressed with the Anjolee company itself and their commitment to quality and transparency, especially after perusing the extensive resources on their website:

Other things I noted:

  • Anjolee has an extensive collection of wedding and anniversary rings, bracelets, necklaces and pendants, and earrings. Each design is also highly customizable, for metal type, gemstone, and if applicable, carat weight and diamond quality.
  • As Anjolee specializes in custom-made jewelry featuring diamonds, precious metals, and gemstones, their higher prices reflect that higher level of quality. For example, take the earrings I chose, the “Six Prong Solitaire Diamond Drop Earrings” style. Its regular price starts a little over $400, and that’s one of the lower-priced items in their catalog.
  • All diamond jewelry orders also come with a certificate of authenticity.
  • Anjolee has free shipping for all U.S. orders and also offers international shipping.

Like I said, very impressive! Anjolee was great to work with, and I highly appreciate that they went the extra mile to make my earrings a bit extra special with my birthstone. You really do get something special with Anjolee. I’ve also put together a Pinterest board of my favorite Anjolee designs if you’d like to browse around a bit more. 🙂

Full disclosure: I received a pair of earrings of my choice from Anjolee for the purposes of review. As always, all opinions are 100% mine and 100% honest.
