Getting cowl-y with it

I hadn’t worn my black cowl-neck top in awhile, and I had forgotten how it helps balance out my pear-shaped figure. For a fun day of watching the movie Spy (LOVED IT — Melissa McCarthy is a national treasure!) followed by an informal potluck dinner at a friend’s house, I paired my black cowl-necked top with my pink + red printed ankle pants.

I felt super comfortable — and a little bit sassy — in this combo. I do love a print, and I do love ankle pants. Put your hands together!

We were taking pics by the side of the movie theater, and a big truck stopped at the stoplight, blaring music. So I started moving to the music, and of course Sam was able to catch some outtakes! Here’s one outtake below — I’ll save the others for an outtakes post. 😉

And of course, I couldn’t resist the cheesy post title, a play on the hip-hop song “Gettin’ Jiggy With It.” Kinda appropriate that I wore my “Hammer Time” microfiche necklace, eh? 😉

Thanks! The pattern is interesting on these pants — red crosses with internal swatches of navy against a background of pink. I usually pair these pants were navy, to bring out that color in the pattern, but today I went with classic black! 🙂
