Garden party floral

A quick reminder that the poll is still open to vote for your favorite outfit of mine last month — thanks in advance!

Following the florals theme this week, this is what I wore for a garden party fundraiser last weekend. The weather was sunny, so I felt fine wearing a sleeveless dress. Almost out the door, I grabbed my straw fedora to help keep the sun at bay. I thought it added a bit more interest to this overall simple look, and the navy band tied into the color scheme of the bold floral print of the dress.

For accessories, I started with these strappy sandals with the metallic bar, as I figured flat sandals would be a good choice for grassy lawns. I then added a vintage charm bracelet — it’s my mom’s charm bracelet from when she graduated from high school, and I’ve added charms to it over the years for my own college graduations. And to round off the “charmed” accessory theme, I finished off with my charm necklace my husband gave me that I’ve also added to over the years.

Sam and I explored the grounds of the garden party location, a lovely estate along the Sandy River. We had fun taking pics in different, picturesque spots, including a flower-covered arbor and a waterfall. Of course, this included opportunities for twirling. 😉

Here are a few different ways I’ve worn this floral dress. You might remember this is the dress that I hemmed a couple of summers ago (recycling the excess fabric into a matching headband and belt, as seen here).
