Bicycle prints + little women

This month has been very busy with yet another librarian conference — this one a state library conference. It’s been very rewarding to be involved in our state library association, and this year’s annual conference was in Eugene, home to the University of Oregon. We enjoyed gorgeous spring weather for the three days of the conference, so I felt ok going bare-legged.

And OF COURSE this meant I had to bring my bicycle-print dress to help represent Portland at the conference! 😉

My tote bag was a birthday gift from my husband, and it has a pattern of “little women” in alternating rows for the book Little Women. I based all my conference outfits around this tote bag, and I pulled in the red of this bag into my outfit with my red skinny belt. [Sorry to say this tote bag is sold out online, but here’s a cute library card tote from the same Out of Print clothing brand!]

And what was my “Top 10” item for Sarah’s Real Life style challenge? My crystal drop earrings! (Trust me, they’re there. You can see a glimpse of them in the first picture.)

I absolutely love this outfit and love how you were representing with your dress. That bag is absolutely perfect and your husband did such a good job.

Wow, so sweet, thanks Megan! My husband likes to have specific choices laid out for him to give input on. So before I packed for the conference, I had 3 bags out and had him choose — and then I based my conference outfits all on that bag. He felt very proud of himself for choosing the “quirkier” option for a tote bag. And I got lots of compliments on it during the conference 🙂
