SIA: Snowdrops round-up

It’s time for the Style Imitating Art (SIA) round-up! Once again, the inspiration, the watercolor “Snowdrops” by Scottish painter and illustrator Katherine Cameron (1874-1965).

First up is my friend and fellow librarian Stephanie, who looked so pretty in her soft rose neck scarf, burgundy bead earrings, and green embroidered skirt.

Next is Kezzie from her KezzieAG blog. I sighed with happiness at Kezzie’s submission, because how perfect is this?! The haziness of the setting sun and the trees and Kezzie’s skirt with the landscape print… so, so lovely.

Next is Erin from Loop Looks, another longtime SIA participant. Erin always brings her own modern edge to her interpretations, which I always look forward to. Loving her mix of neutrals and the white jeans — perfect for spring and perfect for this “Snowdrops” inspiration piece!

Next is SIA co-founder Salazar from 14 Shades of Grey, who mimicked the “watercolor” part in her t-shirt and the “Scottish” part in her plaid pants. I like this more casual look!

Jess from Animated Cardigan, who along with Salazar co-founded SIA, had a intriguing way into the challenge — she dressed how she thought she’d look if she were IN the painting. I can totally see it, especially with the purple cardigan. 🙂

Finally, there’s me! You can see more details and closeups in my post yesterday.

So many different looks, from casual to dressy and from cowboy boots to Mary Janes. Love it! ♥ Thanks again to everyone who participated!

And for more SIA fun, check out SIA co-founders Jess @ Animated Cardigan and Salazar @ 14 Shades of Grey. Visit Jess’s blog next Monday for the next SIA challenge!

Your dress is so pretty, I love that smoky grey coupled with the nod to the bright leaves with the contrasting scarf. I do so enjoy the variety, everyone achieves. Erin with a fab urban rendition, Salazar, Jess with delicate simplicity, Salazar with elegance and clean lines and you who can embrace so many different styles with clever details and ideology, I never know which way you’ll go! Stephenie has a real way with colour! x
