Conference layering in a trench coat + crochet hat

One more Portland conference outfit! This one is VERY similar, I’ll admit, to this recent outfit post featuring my grey striped top and blue floral scarf. In fact, it’s the same top half of that outfit — if something works, it works, right? 😉 I changed out the bottom half from trouser jeans and wedges to a denim skirt, leggings, and boots.

These photos are pretty informal, as they were taken spur-of-the-moment during an ice cream break (Ruby Jewel, one of my favorite ice cream places in Portland, FYI).

And of course I had to wear the cute little beret my fellow librarian and new friend-in-real-life Amy crocheted for me on her way to Portland (read Amy’s “librarian style profile” post here). I love the deep berry color and how it played off the purple bits in the floral scarf.

And here’s the entire look with my navy blue trench coat, also one of my “Top 10” items for the remix challenge @ Sarah’s Real Life.

Awwww, thanks so much! I wondered if all the patterns were a bit much — there are stripes, floral, and the small daisy trim on the trench — but perhaps it works because of the different shades of blue? Anyway, I liked wearing it! 🙂
