Burgundy sweater casual

It’s a couple of weeks after Valentine’s Day, but this is what I wore for the day out with my sweetie. I don’t tend to go too literal on holidays, but I thought my new burgundy sweater was a perfect color (for me as well as for V-Day).

This sweater, from Macy’s Style & Co. line, is sold out online (sorry), but I’ve linked some similar options below.

Details:  Burgundy tunic sweater:  Macy’s, new {similar with zipper detail}  /  Black skinny jeans:  Target, old {very similar}  /  Leopard print flats:  Karen Scott via Macy’s {similar}  /  Tan-and-black colorblock tote bag:  Christian Siariano for Payless {similar}  /  Dangly heart filigree earrings:  Christmas gift {filigree chandelier option}

Again, a super-simple outfit, but one with some interesting details upon a closer look. Like these dangly filigree heart earrings, as well as the neckline and ribbing details on the sweater.

My husband and I weren’t really planning anything on Valentine’s Day except for a day of watching movies on the couch, but then we decided to go out and enjoy the day of (unexpected) sunshine. It was a gorgeous 60 degrees — but still with just a hint of chill in the air that you get on a sunny winter day. (It’s been really uncharacteristically mild for us this winter. Sorry to those suffering major winter storms — I hope y’all are able to keep safe and warm!)

Tomorrow, I will showcase what my stylish husband wore on our impromptu Valentine’s Day out. Stay tuned!

Linking up with these lovely ladies.

      Exactly, I totally feel the way you feel about lower back upper booty showing. I feel super secure in this tunic sweater, that everything is covered. And the shape and ribbing of the sweater still reveal that I do have a shape. Best of both worlds! 🙂
