Black + camel pinspiration

I pinned this black + camel outfit from My Rose Colored Shades — and it turns out it was one of her personal favorites too! This is also my final outfit post of 2014. 🙂

This really is more of a straight-up recreation rather than an interpretation, as Cynthia’s look is so classic that it’s pretty much perfect as is! And I was glad that I had these basic pieces already in my wardrobe, including a tan blazer, black ankle pants, and tall black boots. I think I’m taller than Cynthia, so it also goes to show how this kind of classic outfit fits different shapes and sizes.

I love how the layered gold necklaces really stand out against the black. I layered a couple of necklaces, too, including this bronze-and-red-crocheted necklace. I then added the matching earrings at the last minute, as well as my new black felt cap. (It was a bit drizzly.)
