Newsy

For yet another heavy teaching day, I went for another comfortable layered look. I layered a brown sweater vest over my blue gingham shirt, and added my a-line denim skirt and flat riding boots. The one thing that brought an unexpected spark to this look was the bright blue tights.

And is it just me, or do the branches above my head remind me of those carnival crane games, the ones with the toys, and you lower the claw hand to try and grab one? Now that I see it in these pics, I can’t unsee it. 😉

As it’s getting colder, I’ve also been donning this thrifted newsboy cap, last seen here. With the rolled-up sleeves, sweater vest, and cap, I felt like I could be an extra in Newsies!

Newsies! ❤ This is very cute and functional. I am jealous of your boots. They're fabulous. The leaves in the background are perfect too for the colors.

Heeeee, thanks! I read that you’re on the lookout for cognac boots. Gotta say, the Marc Fisher brand is great, especially for those of us with wider calves. The regular sizes already have wider-than-average calf sizes, and there are STILL wide-calf versions if you need it. The back vent on the tall boots also helps. Good quality, out-of-the-box comfortable, and gorgeous colors. They were a bit spendy, to be sure, but soooooooo worth it. 🙂
