Red + turquoise

If you haven’t already — and thank you if you have — there’s still time to vote for your favorite outfit of mine last month.

I am LOVING this red eShakti dress I bought recently, and this combination with a light turquoise cardigan and slightly darker turquoise wedges felt fresh and just right for this time of year. You saw glimpses of this outfit in last week’s post about tailoring the shoulder straps of this red jersey cotton dress, and here’s the full look:

The accessories for this outfit came to me slowly. I knew I wanted to pair the red dress with the cardigan — I usually decide on what to wear the night before — but it wasn’t until I was drifting off to sleep that I realized that my red crocheted lace + turquoise earrings (a gift from my husband this past Christmas) would go with it. And then it wasn’t until I woke up the next morning that I realized that my turquoise wedges would be the perfect finishing touch. Sometimes it all comes together at once, sometimes it takes a little longer.

And can I have a HOLLA for pockets?!

Finally, here are some other ways I’ve worn these fun cork wedges. I definitely like to pair them with feminine, retro-inspired silhouettes.

Very pretty! I don’t think I would’ve thought to put those two colors together and it totally works!
