Floral + chambray

Last week brought gorgeous spring weather to Portland — a full week of sunshine and highs in the 60s and 70s. This season is a temperamental one up here in the Pacific Northwest, as we can be wearing rain boots and tights through June. So while the sun was out, I went bare-legged (and braved the cooler temps in the morning) because I am READY for spring, y’all.

And what could be more spring-like than this gorgeous, floral eShakti skirt? I first got this scalloped pencil skirt last spring and tailored it last summer by taking off the bottom tier.

I went for a more casual vibe this time around by tying a dark chambray shirt over a long-sleeved white t-shirt and anchoring the look with my grey flats. And it was a happy accident that my chrome metallic nails matched the grey tones in the outfit. 🙂

After getting home from work, my husband and I went for a walk around the neighborhood, enjoying the sunshine. Along the way, we couldn’t resist getting in a few snaps with different flowers blooming in the neighborhood.

Very nice combination and so fitting with your lovely background!
Spring flowers are still about a month away in my neck of the woods … sigh. We had a snowstorm yesterday!

Gorgeous outfit Jen. I love that floral pencil skirt with the gorgeous scalloping. And look at all those pretty flowers, blooming behind and around you. You match the nature.

Check out how I styled my Pencil Skirt, yesterday. =)

Such a lovely pairing. Now I’m really going to have a hard time choosing between this and the 40s look for your best April outfit! Yesterday’s berry colored dress was fantastic, too…you’re particularly hitting it out of the park this week.
