What I got (February 2014)

Budgeting bloggers time! I kept things pretty simple this past month, filling two holes in my closet (a black pencil skirt and a black dotted skirt) and replacing two well-loved items (strappy black sandals and a red cardigan):

Librarian for Life + Style | What I Got: February 2014 collage

DETAILS:

  • Black-and-white dotted skirt: Lands’ End, $44.25 (original price $59, used 15% online coupon)
  • Black pencil skirt:  ModCloth, $34.99
  • Red cardigan:  Macy’s, $14.98 (original price $34.98, used $20 gift coupon)
  • Black strappy sandals:  Lands’ End, on sale for $24.99 (original price $59)

I feel good about my budgeting plan for this year, to fill in holes and replace items as needed. I needed to replace my current red cardigan, which I picked up two summers ago at Target, last seen here. The color has faded a bit, and I replaced it with a bright red cardigan from my favorite cardigan line, August Silk. The new black sandals will replace the low wedge strappy sandals that I picked up at Target two springs ago, last seen here.

And I have already worn both skirts, although only the black pencil skirt has made it to the blog so far, as seen here. But fear not, the dotted skirt will be featured in tomorrow’s post, so stay tuned! 🙂

MONTHLY TOTAL = $119.21
MONTHLY SAVINGS = $68.76

I also picked up a few new beauty products this month, as detailed in this post last week.
