Stripes + owls

Yep, I’ve found another way to remix my owl sweater this week! 😉

I’ve worn my navy-and-grey striped blazer several times, but had never thought about pairing it with my grey owl sweater. Until now, thanks to Anne’s preppy schoolboy blazer + animal sweater combo. And it was one of those times when I put on the combo, looked in the mirror, and felt a deep sense of satisfaction. This is TOTALLY my style. Comfy, casual, with a bit of pattern-mixing quirk.

All the photos in this post were taken with my camera phone (Samsung Galaxy S4), and the backdrop is the Visual Arts Gallery area on my college campus. There’s cool student and professor artwork all around, including murals and sculptures like this cement couch.

I also kind of love how when the blazer is buttoned up, the owl still is able to peek out. BTW, her name is Gertie (yes, I named the owl on my sweater).

And by the way, please let me know what was your favorite outfit of mine during September, thanks!

Oooh such a fun combination! The owl is so cute (and I definitely would have named mine sweater-owl too!). Also, that cement couch is awesome – what a cool spot to take pictures!

It feels great to put together an outfit that fits your style perfectly! I also like that you named your sweater’s owl … I would have done the same. 🙂
