End of summer floral

I wasn’t planning to shoot pics of this outfit, as it’s quite similar to how I last wore this dress (seen here), only with gold jewelry and accessories this time instead of silver. But I felt so pretty and feminine wearing this bright floral dress — and sometimes, a pretty dress is a pretty dress. Plus, it’s the first time I’ve worn this dress out since rehemming it (details here).

Like I mentioned before, I went with gold jewelry this time, including this charm bracelet of my mom’s. This simple dress + sandals combo definitely fit the casual, easy vibe of one of the last days of summer. 🙂

Details:  Red, white & blue floral dress:  eShakti, gift-carded this summer  /  Gold-and-cream sandals:  Target, last summer  /  Vintage wicker purse:  Art fair in Chicago, old  /  Gold hoops:  Birthday gift set from in-laws, last year  /  Cross necklace + charm bracelet:  My mom’s

And… this is me cracking up at Sam. He likes to do funny things sometimes as he’s taking pics, like break out odd dance moves or make strange sounds or pretend to be Austin Powers at the end of the first Austin Powers movie. Why? To capture shots like the one below, of course. 😉 You’re welcome.

I let my hair dry naturally, so it had a bit of wave and texture in it. Then I took two small pieces from the sides and wrapped a small hair elastic around them at the back. I really liked the effect, and the style seemed to suit the easy feel of this outfit.
