Here’s a quick look back at March. Enjoy!
Behind the blog & first giveaway
This month started out with a guest feature as Blogger of the Month over on Smart and Savvy Style, in which I reflected on how my style is linked to librarianship. As my profession is actually part of my blog title, I would say that’s appropriate! I also opened up here about why I started my style blog.
And by the way, as we get closer to my one-year blogiversary, please help me celebrate by entering for a $25 Old Navy gift card giveaway. Just click here for all the details!
Spring is in the air
Spring has finally come to Portland, and that means cherry trees!
Remixing is a way of life
During my Spring Break, I had fun going back through my style archives and participating in the “5 Days, 5 Ways” style challenge hosted by Franish and Along the Lines of Style. You can see how I have remixed my orange gingham camp shirt, grey trousers, a Balinese scarf (seen below), my mom’s vintage white dress, and my go-to casual Friday combo of skinny jeans + blazers. Which remixing item was your favorite?
Speaking of remixing, my mom’s white sheath dress from the ’60s takes the prize for this month’s MVP! In addition to being featured as part of the “5 Days, 5 Ways” style challenge, outlined above, I also wore this dress here and here.
My favorite post title was “Polka dots and rainbows” — makes me smile every time! 🙂
This was my favorite Polyvore board this month:
And my personal favorite look was the mix of greens I wore for St. Patrick’s Day:
