Springtime pattern-mixing

This week’s Inspiration Monday challenge is a bit late, but inspiration can strike at any time, right? 😉 I took elements of the inspiration look from Allessandra Ambrosio, including the focus on florals, the color blue, the skinny belt, and neutral-colored shoes.

I couldn’t wait to wear my lovely new floral skirt from eShakti — so ladylike! so pretty! — and I paired it with a pin-striped button-down for this skirt’s first outing. This combination was also partly inspired by these looks I pinned here and here.

Thanks, Laura! This skirt is quite unlike my usual style, but I couldn’t help myself when I saw it was on sale. And when I oh-so-casually turned the laptop to my husband, he immediately responded, “Buy it!” 🙂 And it is oh-so-pretty in real life! 🙂

Thanks Erin! The pink flower petals were a happy accident. We walked down our street because there were some flowers blooming (the first pic with the red and yellow flower bushes) and then I spied the tree with the pink flowers further down. As we got closer, Sam and I then saw the fallen petals and we both went, “Perfect!” I agree, it totally plays off the floral skirt. 🙂

That skirt is exquisite (the scallops, the print, and the colors are stunning) and you look great in it – that first photo belongs in a magazine! 🙂
