Stripes on stripes

Whew, coming out of this sinus hostage situation and in the midst of “getting it DONE” mode at work. 😀

Today’s outfit is inspired by the latest SIA challenge over at the Animated Cardigan. I don’t know why, but I always seem to wearing jeans when the SIA challenges roll around (see here, here, here, here, and here for photographic evidence). I *do* wear jeans frequently, but if you’re a regular reader, you know there is more variety in my wardrobe. But jeans for a behind-the-scenes day at work? Yes, please. I’ll take it when I can get it. 😉

Last week, it was pattern-mixing polka dots on polka dots. This week, it’s stripes on stripes. What’ll happen next week?! 😉

I also added these earrings to add to the SIA inspiration of stripes-and-color-mixing.

And this past week, I seem to be seeing this SIA inspiration everywhere I look! Here’s a Polyvore inspiration board I put together quickly to capture this stars-and-stripes trend:

Ha, I saw that same dress on Modcloth (the sleeveless one from your polyvore set) and thought it would be perfect for this SIA… But your blazer is spot-on too!
