Librarian for Life + Style | Bow blouse closeup

When?  June 1, 2012

What for?  Work. This is another variation of what I consider the perfect kind of “Casual Friday” look:  dark jeans, flats, a nice t-shirt or blouse (something with a pattern or special details), and a cardigan or jacket on top to pull it all together. When you look at the one that started it all, it’s the same basic idea.

And today, on my way out, I pulled out quite a few of the funny blogger poses I’ve been highlighting lately, including “The Best Foot Forward” in the first two pics and “The Laugh” in the third — so much so that Sam remarked, “So you’re just hitting them all!” And then he challenged me to combine a few, which is why in that last shot, you can spot “The Flamingo“, the “Show us how touchable your hair is“, AND the “Cross your legs and contemplate your shoes” poses. 😉

Details?

  • T-shirt with tie:  Jason Wu for Target collection
  • Jeans:  Gap, long ‘n’ lean style
  • Cardigan:  Nordstrom Rack
  • Flats:  DKNY at Macy’s
  • Skinny belt:  Kohl’s (gift card, shopping details here)
  • Prescription sunglasses:  Nine West

Thanks Carrie! I love the print on the tie, reminds me of wagon wheels. And I am now following your personal style blog on Bloglovin’ 🙂
